More than 8,500 high school wrestling programs will benefit from InBody’s body composition analysis devices, proven to be the most accurate on the market
CERRITOS, Calif., (November 8, 2017) – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has named InBody as its official body composition analyzer. The InBody devices will help wrestlers track changes in muscle mass, avoid weight misclassification and dehydration.
“Studies have proved InBody products are the most accurate body composition analyzer for high school wrestling weight certifications,” said Mike Moyer, executive director of the NWCA. “We saw a need for a new device within our program and found the solution with InBody. Previous devices have under or overestimated body fat percentages in wrestlers, causing a wrestler to cut more weight than should be allowed or be an incorrect weight class.”
“We’re excited to combine our medical and professional sports background to help high school wrestlers perform to the best of their ability,” said Dan Park, InBody director of sales.
The InBody devices are the only body composition analyzers that are currently available and approved by the NWCA. Be sure to check with your state high school athletic association medical committee before purchasing this device to administer your wrestling weight certification program.
